The Spiritual Head of
Cherubim and Seraphim Church (C &S) Movement (AYO NI O) Worldwide,
Most Reverend Samuel Adefila Abidoye, has urged politicians to exhibit high sense of maturity in their
campaigns that would usher in a new government in Nigeria next year.

He also appealed to the President Muhhamadu Buhari led administration to focus more on the education sector of Nigeria’s economy.
He said that
Nigeria’s education sector is fast losing its taste and therefore
needed urgent attention to avoid ‘‘going down the drain.’’

Abidoye however reminded politicians: “Power comes
only from God, nobody can forcefully acquire it. The quickest step towards bloodshed and anarchy is rigging and desperation to retain or gain powers. Such should be avoided because it would only spell doom for
Nigeria”.
The cleric gave the advice in his New Year message to Nigerians.
He advised Nigerians that the only weapon at their disposal to change or retain any government
is their votes which can be legitimately used rather than resort to violence and avoidable bloodletting.
“Political parties should be matured in their politicking and
electioneering to avoid bloodshed”, the cleric said as he also advised eligible voters to shun acts
capable of causing breakdown of law and order before and during the
2019 general elections.
“2018 is another year of engaging in campaign, politicking and other political permutations either to gain power or to retain power but my plea to all Nigerians especially the politicians is that we should play by exhibiting high sense of maturity and be spiritually matured and also be careful not to cause bloodshed.
“Power comes only from God who gives and
takes as it pleases him. Nobody can forcefully acquire it. Let us avoid acts that could lead to chaos, the quickest step towards bloodshed is to rig out of desperation to retain or gain power. This
should be avoided at all cost”.
While predicting that 2018 is going to be fruitful, Abidoye however
warned celebrities and corrupt politicians to be weary and watch their ways to avoid attracting the wrath of God. “I want to inform
you that 2018 is going to be a very fruitful year because a lot shall reach their stardom while lots of selfish and corrupt celebrities
shall be heard no more.”

He called on all Nigerians to continue to pray for the federal, states
and local governments to remain calm, humane, firm, resolute and
decisive in keeping to electioneering promises to citizens as
he pleaded that government should be given more time to deliver as
promised.
