The member representing Bende South State Constituency in Abia House of Assembly, Chibuzor Okogbuo, may likely defect to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from APGA.

On Monday he joined PDP parliamentarians in Bende Local Government Area to support the adoption of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for a second term in 2019.

Senator MAO Ohuabunwa had in the visit to the people of Bende by the Abia State governor moved a motion for the adoption of Ikpeazu for 2019 and was supported by all PDP former and serving parliamentarians including Okogbuo, a serving APGA lawmaker in the state.

Political analysts who saw it all described Okogbuo’s action as anti-party, which might result to sanction by the APGA hierarchy but for the leadership problem that is rocking the party in Abia and at the national level.

Last week, the member representing Aba South in the house, an APGA lawmaker, Clinton Ebere Emmanuel, defected openly to PDP giving leadership crisis in the party as his reasons. Political analysts confirmed to our reporter that most APGA house members were in PDP but could not get tickets to run then and Dr. Alex Otti not only accepted them in APGA but also financed their election. They added that their defection back to PDP was a betrayal of the party that made them.

Besides, Okogbuo declined comments on the issue, when contacted.
