Auta bows out as Federal High Court CJ

The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice Ibrahim Ndahi Auta (OFR), on Friday, September 15, 2017, retired from service after presiding over the 33rd Judges’ annual conference  at the Sheraton Hotel and Suites Abuja.

The conference,  marked the last of his official engagement as the chief judge as he retired after clocking the statutory 65 years on September 16.

In his stead, Justice Abdul Adamu Kafarati will be sworn-in tomorrow  September 16 as the acting chief judge of the federal high court.

The swearing-in ceremony will be administered by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Walter Onnoghen, inside the chambers of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Abuja.

Justice Kafarati will be acting pending the submission and confirmation of his appointment by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
