The CHAN Eagles of Nigeria on Friday, January 19, 2018, won their first match in the ongoing African Nations Cup football competition for the home-based players by defeating Libya 1-0.
Sunday Faleye, a second half substitute, scored against the defending champions, Libya, towards the dying minutes of the second half.
With the win, Nigeria Eagles now have four points after drawing the first match 0-0 against Rwanda.
It would be recalled that Libya won their first match 3-0 against Equatorial Guinea.
