Sahara Group has announced that it will be partnering filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan, to train aspiring film entrepreneurs, just as the Lagos premiere of his latest offering holds at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos today.
The initiative it tagged ‘Grooming film extrapreneurs with Kunle Afolayan’ took place on June 30.
“This idea aims at encouraging aspiring young minds within the society to get a chance to understudy the award-winning filmmaker for a period of six months. After, they will undoubtedly leave with vast technical and intellectual resources to take them forward towards a promising career,” said the filmmaker’s company’s website.

Golden Effects Pictures, which is behind multiple award-winning films like The Figurine (Araromire), Phone Swap and October 1, had earlier premiered The CEO aboard a dedicated Air France AF149 flight to Paris on June 1.
Thirty-seven thousand feet above sea level, the film was screened for the very first time to enthused guests of distinguished standings from across the globe to a roaring applause and sustained wonder.
