Woman attacks 11-year-old with hot water in Imo

-

The police in Imo State are in a hunt for a mother of three, Promise Obinna, who attacked an 11-year-old, Chika Mkwazema, with boiled water during a scuffle.
Chika has been hospitalised at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Owerri where she is battling for her life. But her treatment is stalled because the family cannot afford all the drugs required, Ngozi Mkwazema, the mother of Chika told our correspondent.
Mrs Mkwazema, a native of Emekuku in Imo state, narrated that on May 20th at about 8:00pm there was a fight between her children and that of Mrs Obinna, her co-tenant.
Chika got into the fray. Mrs Obinna became violent and snatched the little girl by the hand to the public kitchen and emptied a boiling water on her.
After the act, Mrs Obinna, her three children and husband, a Keke Marwa rider absconded.
The crime was reported to the Area Command police station in Owerri, where a manhunt for the family is ongoing.
