Burna Boy survives car crash, shocked seeing onlookers filming instead of helping

 Burna Boy who survived the crash said he was surprised to see people recording the scene instead of helping him.

Last night, Grammy award-winning artist Burna Boy narrowly survived a ghastly car accident in the Lekki area of Lagos State. 

Moments after the accident, social media was awash with clips of the moment he had the accident. 

According to viral clips made by eyewitnesses, the car crash involved Burna Boy Ferrari.

The African giant confirmed the crash on his Instagram story saying, “Yes it’s true. I had a bad accident in my Ferrari today. My leg just hurts a little but I’m fine.”

Lamenting, Burna Boy said he was surprised to see people recording the crash scene instead of helping him.

“It’s just funny how everyone came out with their  phones recording me instead of trying to help me. I guess they were too excited to see me regardless of the situation lol,” he said.

Burma Boy ended with a tribute to his late friend Gambo, saying “he got him”.

Brief profile of Burna Boy 

Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu (born 2 July 1991), known professionally as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian singer and rapper. He is one of the biggest and most successful African artists. 

He rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E (2013). In 2017, Burna Boy signed with Bad Habit/Atlantic Records in the United States and Warner Music Group internationally. His third studio album Outside marked his major-label debut.

In 2019, he won Best International Act at the 2019 BET Awards, and was announced as an Apple Music Up Next artist. His fourth studio album African Giant was released in July 2019; it won Album of the Year at the 2019 All Africa Music Awards and was nominated for a Best World Music Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.

 He was awarded the African Artist of the year at the 2020 VGMA’s. In 2020, his album Twice as Tall was nominated for the same category at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, making him the first Nigerian with back-to-back nominations at the Grammys. In 2021, Twice as Tall won the Best World Music Album at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.
