The West London club were reported to have shown interest in the 37-year-old Portuguese during the summer transfer when he initially wanted to leave Manchester United.

Many soccer pundits also predicted Ronaldo’s destination will be Stamford Bridge after his contract with the Red Devils was terminated by mutual consent a few days ago.

Although Boehly has what it takes to fund the move and bring Ronaldo to West London, it appears his destination will be at another club according to UK Sun.

A source told the newspaper: “Chelsea have gone cold on him, but if Todd Boehly decided to change his mind he would take some stopping.”

Boehly regarded Ronaldo as a marquee signing in his first transfer window, but the-then manager Thomas Tuchel was not keen on Ronaldo.

Although Graham Potter has since replaced Tuchel, there have been no signs of the Blues reigniting their interest in the former United striker.
