Ace Nigerian actress, Funke Akindele has been given a rousing welcome by her neighbours, after winning an award at the recently concluded African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).
Funke Akindele was among the Thespians who won an award at the event on Saturday night, as she bagged the Best Actress award in a Comedy movie or TV series.
The talented actress took to her Instagram page to share a video showing how her neighbours joined in on the celebration when she got home.

The video showed some of the actress’ neighbours singing in excitement while the elated winner beamed with a smile all over her face.
Funke Akindele, in a statement posted along with the video, noted that the gesture got her emotional and thanked them for always showing her love and being supportive.
She wrote, “🤗🤗❤️❤️🥲🥲awww this is so emotional!! Thank you my #Amenestatefamily @amen_estate_lagos I feel so honored and loved. See as I Dey shine teeth🤣🤣🤣 All glory to God for the continuous blessings and victory. Thank you guys for always having my back. I love you all. Now back to work!!!”
