Nollywood actress, Bukunmi Oluwasina, urges men to forgive cheating wives

Oluwasina in a trending Instagram video advised Nigerian men to pray for their unfaithful wives rather than divorce them

Nigerian actress, producer, screenwriter and singer, Bukunmi Oluwasina has lent her voice to the disturbing rate of infidelity and divorce in Nigeria. 

The thespian in a social media post advised Nigerian men against divorcing their spouses if they caught them cheating on them.

Infidelity has been identified as one of the major causes of the high rate of divorce in Nigeria, especially in the entertainment industry.

Reacting to the development via a video message shared on her official Instagram page, Oluwasina urged  Nigerian men to explore other options rather than ending their unions when they catch their spouses cheating.

She also suggested that husbands should pray for these unfaithful wives instead of seeking a divorce.

The mother of one went on to say even if a woman gets pregnant from an extramarital affair, her husband shouldn’t throw her out but accept her and the pregnancy, adding that every child is a blessing.

Oluwasina said: “Welcome the child into the family and build your home. Every child is a blessing.

“If your wife is sleeping around, please pray for her. Enter war room. It might be spiritual. She might be going through a lot. What God cannot do does not exist.”

Oluwasina, who features more in Yoruba films, who hails from Okemesi-Ekiti in Ekiti State was born into a family of seven 32 years ago and holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University.

The screenwriter produced the movie “Ayomi” in 2015, which got nominated at the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards and won Best of Nollywood Awards. 

In 2021, she became the first Nollywood thespian to act four different character roles in the movie titled “Jankariwo“.
