Omokri says $1m would have bought security devices to protect Nigerians

Muhammadu Buhari, the waster of Nigeria, last month donated $1 million to Afghanistan, the enclave of Taliban terrorists who massacre fellow Muslims, degrade women, and prevent the education of girls.

Afghanistan has a population of 40 million, 99.7 per cent of whom are Muslim, with 90 per cent practising Suni Islam and 10 per cent as Shias.

Buhari said he donated to the humanitarian cause in Afghanistan but he knows the money will be controlled by the brutish Taliban government in Kabul which, obviously, is ruling with the Islamist passion in Buhari’s heart.

Reno Omokri – a Nigerian lawyer based in the United Kingdom who once served as an aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan – has knocked Buhari for donating to the Taliban amid escalating insecurity in his own backyard.

Buhari’s negligence destroying Nigeria

Buhari’s negligence and irresponsibility, Omokri said, led to the terrorist attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train on Monday night which killed at least eight persons, injured several, with some still missing.

Another attack had been launched on Kaduna Airport last Saturday by over 200 armed Islamist terrorists who killed one person before they were repelled by security forces.

Buhari did not see this and other previous warnings as a wake up call.

Rather, Omokri added, Buhari enjoys himself in the luxury of 10 presidential jets and more than 10 Mercedes Benz cars which cost taxpayers over N1 billion.

“Rampaging gunmen regularly slaughter Nigerians daily in the North, but rather than take decisive action or identify physically with the victims, [Buhari] mostly remains Aso Rock while his spokesmen reel out ineffectual statements,” The PUNCH had written in an editorial on 10 March.

“Junketing abroad for minor engagements or personal comfort while millions suffer and the country is imperilled, as Buhari often does, is reprehensible.

“In the seven years that he has superintended over Africa’s most populous country, he has left no one in doubt that his interests and comfort are paramount.”

True to form, Buhari did not visit the terror victims in Kaduna on Tuesday as a responsible leader would have done. He merely issued a statement through one of his false prophets, Garba Shehu.

Buhari and bandits are terrorists, says Omokri

Below is Omokri’s tweet as published by Daily Post:

“The machine that would have detected bombs on the Abuja-Kaduna rail tracks cost about ₦180 million. Yet, the Buhari regime did not purchase it.

“But Buhari spent over ₦200 million buying a bulletproof Mercedes Maybach for himself. Buhari cares only about himself!

“Buhari has 10 Presidential jets and more than 10 Mercedes Benzes worth over ₦1 billion.

“Yet, he can’t provide even one bomb detector for the Abuja-Kaduna rail, 6 months after it was first bombed on October 22, 2022. Nigeria has 2 terrorists. Buhari and the bandits!

“Dear Buhari, just this month you gave $1 million to the terrorist government of Afghanistan. That money could have bought 10 bomb detectors for the Abuja-Kaduna rail.

“You spent $8 million on repentant Boko Haram. Wouldn’t that have been best spent on bomb detectors?”

“How many people did IPOB kill before Buhari threatened them with his now infamous ‘speak to them in a language they understand’ tweet?

“How come he has not spoken to terrorists in the same language? Is it because they are from his tribe, and not a dot in a circle?”

The terrorists who stormed Kaduna Airport on 26 March stopped aircraft from taking off and shot an employee of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).

“Can you imagine bandits taking over the Kaduna airport and preventing planes from taking off? And APC [All Progressives Congress] are celebrating themselves at their Abuja convention? Omokri tweeted after the attack.

“And they are projecting the Governor of Kaduna [Nasir el-Rufai] for VP in 2023? The same man who was paying these bandits?”

Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria (HURIWA) has also faulted Buhari for donating $1 million to Afghanistan through the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC).

HURIWA insisted it is unconstitutional for him to donate public funds without appropriation to the OIC for onward disbursement to the Islamic regime that came to power in Afghanistan through the barrel of the gun.

OIC confirms Buhari’s $1m donation to Afghanistan

Many Nigerians did not know about Buhari’s donation to Afghanistan until OIC Secretary General Hissein Taha disclosed it in a statement on 3 March.

“The Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Hissein Brahim Taha has commended with appreciation the generous donation of one million dollars made by the Republic of Nigeria to the Humanitarian Trust Fund for Afghanistan,” the statement said, published by Daily Trust.

“This donation comes in time to add a new momentum to OIC’s efforts to contribute to easing the humanitarian situation in Afghanistan and to help in catering for the needs of millions of Afghan people, including women and children.

“OIC remains committed to the noble cause of supporting the Afghan people and will spare no effort in implementing to the full the special resolution on Afghanistan issued by the last extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers held in December 2021 in Islamabad, Republic of Pakistan.

“The OIC appeals to all Member States, stakeholders and partners to come on board and make contributions to the humanitarian trust fund for Afghanistan through the bank account reserved for this fund within the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB).”
